Family Activities List

The Bailiffgate Museum will be running activities for families and children of all ages on these dates.

February 

13^th – 21^st: Half term – Become a reporter with our printing themed activities

13^th + 14^th:  Valentines activities – Romance is in the air at the museum

13^th + 14^th: Mothers day activities – Make something special for a hard working mum

April

2^nd – 18^th: Easter holidays Activities – Would you make a good Girl Guide? Find out at the museum. Also our Easter Bunny hunt.

24^th – 26^th: St Georges Activities – Here be dragons

May

3^rd: May Day Holiday – Go back in time to our Victorian Classroom.

14^th -16^th: Museums at night – Late openings and special events as part of this European museums festival

29^th May – 6^th June: Half term activities – More historic school activities for you to try.

June

1^st – 3^rd: Alnwick Community week of action – Learn about local jobs with our Coal and Kippers activities

4^th – 6^th:  Alnwick Community week of action – object handling, dressing up and jigsaws! All to commemorate the 66^th Anniversary of D - Day

19^th+ 20^th: Fathers day activities – Craft something to show him you care

August

1^st – 7^th: Alnwick Music Festival events – To link in with the world famous festival

September

7^th: End of school summer holiday activities

11^th + 12^th: Heritage Open Days – Free entry all weekend

15^th - 17^th: Battle of Britain activities – This year marks the 70^th anniversary of the battle; can you spot the hidden hurricanes around the museum?

18^th + 19^th: Alnwick Food Festival Events – Rationing food World War Two Style. Powdered egg anyone?

October

23^rd - 31^st: Half term activities – Art activities for all ages

30^th+ 31^st: Halloween activities – Spooky goings on at the old museum

November

13^th + 14^th: Remembrance Day activities – To help commemorate those who have fought for us

28^th - 30^th: St. Andrews Day Activities – To honour our friends from north of the border

December

14^th - 22^nd: Christmas activities start – Make cards, decorations and angels to decorate your tree.
