Bailiffgate's Volunteer History Researchers are always keen to help Museum visitors and website viewers in their searches for information relating to the past in Alnwick and District.

Unfortunately, we do NOT usually undertake Family History research.

However, sometimes an individual or family can be found in our records if they have been part of some incident, or were involved in some famous/infamous role in local history !

It is always worth contacting us to see if we can help.

We do make a charge for this service:

£10 for starting any such search, which includes up to three pages of any information that we can find on the subject.

(Images, if required, have a seperate charge, being an additional £10 each).

Before any Local History Search is started, we do need the initial £10 payment made up front.

We are now happy to deal with enquiries from overseas and in this respect we will send you our banking details for any charges.

We have already satisfied visitors and customers from all over the globe, on a very wide variety of subjects.
