Exhibitions and Events

Bailiffgate Museum and Gallery offers a diverse and exciting programme ever of exhibitions, talks, courses and workshops. All paid-for events are bookable through this website, and the price includes admission to the Museum. For any help you need please contact us. All talks, courses and workshops take place at the Baliffgate Museum and Gallery include light refreshments in the price unless stated.

Exhibition  Friday 16th March - 3rd September:2018  Batteries Not Included - an exhibition of toys and pastimes through the years . Curriculum-linked for school visits. Lots of hands-on activities for families. Suitable and great fun for all ages from toddlers to the "young in heart".

As well as the large display area on the Gallery floor of the museum, special events with no additional charge include:

         Teddy Bear's Picnic- Fun and games with a younger flavour. Saturday April21st

        "Build IT"- A competition open to the under 10's and 10-16 year olds, with a prize for

         each category. All May Bank Holiday  Sat5th- Mon 7th May 2018



 Discussion  "My Favourite Toy"   Tuesday April 3rd  7.15pm for 7.30.

Free and open to all. Part of the "Batteries not Included " Festival of Toys. Come along and share memories of when there were "proper toys". See if others remember your favourite!  Hosted by the Alnwick Branch of the Northumberland and Durham Family History Society. Free refreshments (donation invited for non-members of the NDFHS)

Sewing Course Mon 30th April  Beginners Sewing Course

One of a range of enjoyable and useful events throughout 2018 designed to help you save money and acquire new skills. Any one day course, including materials for most  events, is only £25 (with a £10 deposit required) and there is a 10% reduction for multiple bookings.

September - October: Borders, Boundaries and Beyond -  Creative group "It Happens" return with another amazing textile exhibition

November: an exhibition celebrating 100 years of local Womens Institute groups.
